Millions of starving, suffering from draughts

hoping for a drop of water to keep their lives

millions of homeless, make their living on the streets

finding every way to survive

Millions of children, without families, without love

living each and everyday without hope

millions of problem kids, we look down on with a frown

when all they want is to have a hand to hold

why don’t you notice those around you and you’ll see

that ther are so many wandering hearts and souls in need

why don’t you look outside and forget about yourself

see the sorrow and pain of others, and your heart will melt

Millions of people, searching for love that is true

so many heart-broken not knowing what to do

millions taking drugs everyday

because it seems to them life’s got no other way

Open up your eyes and hear the searching cry

they’re all looking for a way to be free

if you quit caring for yourself then you’ll come to realize

that you have the answer to what they need

why don’t you notice those around you and you’ll see

that there are so many wandering hearts and souls in need

why don’t you look outside and forget about yourself

seeing the pain of others will make your heart melt

I want to say “I Love You”

from deep down in my heart,

I want to say “I Miss You”

when miles leave us apart

I want to say “I’m Sorry”

when wrong is what I’ve done

I want to say “Your Special”

and that your lots of fun

I want to say “Stay With Me”

when chilly winds do blow

I want to say “Please Help Me”

when the solution I don’t know

I want to say “Your Funny”

when we joke around and laugh

I want to say “Your Really Smart”

when I just couldn’t think of that

I want to say “Your More to Me”

when you say you understand

and without you I couldn’t be

the person that I am.

A Friend like You

A friend is someone who’s always there

when no one else seems to care

thats when a friend will walk up and say

“please don’t cry, you’ll be OK”

A friend is someone who believes what you say

when all the others start walking away

that’s when a friend will stand by your side

and say to you “there’s nothing to hide”

A friend is someone who shares your sadness

shares your frustration and shares your gladness

that’s when a friend is heard to say

“it’s ok to cry, don’t be afraid”

A friend is someone who stays true

when your caught in uncertainty, not knowing what to do

thats when a friend will whisper in your ear

“you don’t have to fear, I’ll always be here”

A friend will stay with you through thick and thin

when it gets rough and your crying within

thats when a good friend will come hug you and say

“I’ll always be your friend, even when you’re feeling this way”

And I’m so happy

to have a friend like you

who always understands me

no matter what I’m going through

A Dark Road

A Dark Road

I walk this path, tis a lonely night

The wind it howls

Owls, ominous of all fowls

Roam dark crevasses, to terror and fright

I cling to this robe, held close to keep warm

From the stillness so silent

Violent, suffocating air deprive-meant

Foretelling the arrival of a gathering storm

I traverse this road, in pain with each step

Forcing onward

Forward, gradually toward

The, perhaps, pleasantest place, kept

I long in my heart, solace from fear

Drawing comfort from

Some source, whence I know not it comes

Still dark, yet warmth of light draws near

I see the dawn, my tiredness hindered

So close to my destination

Realization of pouring precipitation

Starts me dashing undeterred

I hold close, my dearest memory

Flashbacks on life

Tonight, no more lightning like knifes

Could stab my joy of feeling so free.

What if…..

If the world was to end and I said one last thing

I’d look you deep in the eye, give you a smile but say nothing

Because all the words in the world couldn’t in that moment express

The depth of feeling in the heart that’s compressed

If I could make one wish come true

I’d wish that my wish be given to you

Because you’re my friend and anything I can do

Just to make you happy, has me belated too

If I could re-live one day in the past

It’d be the day we met, enjoyed ourselves and laughed

Because times like that come once and are gone

What’s left are fond memories that forever stay on

If I had one chance to prove myself to you

I’d only prove myself useless without you to see me through

Because not having your help is like going on each day

Without someone to help tell me why I toil in this way

If I could give you just one thing

I’d give what to you would mean everything

Because the only worthwhile thing I could give

Is the thing that makes you smile everyday that you live.

If I could awake in a dream that came true

I’d be there, anywhere as long as I was with you

Because that’d be all I want, all that I’d need

Just to be with you, talk, laugh, …..eat ice-cream ?

If I could one day be all I hope to be

I’d still be myself no-one special just me

Because to you it doesn’t really matter much

Whether I was honored or was just “such and such”

If in this life I had no accomplishments to show

I’d deem it worthwhile still just to know

That with or without them you love me the same

And so in this life I live without shame

If I had the power to change someone’s life

I’d do it for you without thinking twice

Because you said so, because you asked

So I’d do my best to fulfill you this task

But if there was nothing left on earth I could do

I’d still be happy just having a friend so true

Because happiness isn’t based on what we gain

But on the things we’re proud of, on the things that we gave
