when no one else seems to care
thats when a friend will walk up and say
“please don’t cry, you’ll be OK”
A friend is someone who believes what you say
when all the others start walking away
that’s when a friend will stand by your side
and say to you “there’s nothing to hide”
A friend is someone who shares your sadness
shares your frustration and shares your gladness
that’s when a friend is heard to say
“it’s ok to cry, don’t be afraid”
A friend is someone who stays true
when your caught in uncertainty, not knowing what to do
thats when a friend will whisper in your ear
“you don’t have to fear, I’ll always be here”
A friend will stay with you through thick and thin
when it gets rough and your crying within
thats when a good friend will come hug you and say
“I’ll always be your friend, even when you’re feeling this way”
And I’m so happy
